Priya has earned her Ph.D. degree in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, India in 2019. Her thesis works highlights the role of finite-size effect and disorder in modifying the light transport and spontaneous emission in nanophotonic structures. In 2018, she has been awarded the prestigious Raman-Charpak Fellowship in Physical Sciences to work with the group of Prof. Pascale Senellart at C2N-CNRS, Université Paris-Saclay -Université Paris Sud, France. She will be joining the group as the post-doctoral fellow in November 2019 where her research work is focused on controlling the phonon-assisted emission from a single quantum dot deterministically coupled to an optomechanical micropillar cavity.
