After spending my student years in the beautiful city of Amsterdam, I was ready for another adventure. During my Master thesis at AMOLF, Amsterdam, I decided that doing a PhD abroad could be the next big adventure. So, after receiving my Physics Master’s degree in Advanced Matter & Energy Physics from the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam, I moved to Paris and joined the team of Pascale Senellart where I now work on quantum thermodynamics with quantum dots.
