Omar Ortiz

Adding to the Latino quota of the group, Omar comes from the Peruvian metropolis of Lima. Former member of the quantum optics group of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, he holds a Master Degree in Physics from the same university. He worked as a research programmer for Wolfram Research before joining Pascale Senellart’s group as a PhD student at Paris-Sud University. His current work involves the study of nanophononics devices through coherent phonon generation and detection.
