Dr. Loïc Lanco
Dr. Loïc Lanco is an Associate Professor working since Sept. 2007 at Univ. Paris Cité, with his research in C2N in Solid State Quantum Optics. His main goal is to control the interaction between matter qubits and photonic qubits, using artificial atoms (semiconductor quantum dots) embedded in optical microcavities. The light-matter interfaces of our group can be used both as excellent emitters and receivers of single photons: this allows manipulating a single solid-state qubit with a single incoming photon and, conversely, manipulating single photons via the solid-state qubit. In particular, he has focused his research activities on the enhancement of photon-photon and spin-photon interactions, pushing them down to the single photon level.
